 Community Outreach & Corporate Relations Director

 

About Adam’s House: Adam’s House offers no-cost peer support education programs designed to support children and their families through the death of a loved one. 

 

Position Summary: The Community Outreach & Corporate Relations Director will be responsible for managing and executing fundraising and development initiatives to support the organization's mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate relations and sponsorship, event management, and fundraising. The Community Outreach & Corporate Relations Director will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Communications Director, Board of Directors, and volunteers. The position is part-time, and requires office hours and is not remote. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a corporate sponsorship strategy to increase donor base and funding support.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors to secure sponsorship, in-kind donations, and financial gifts.

  • Manage the capital campaign program, including the identification and solicitation of major donors and corporations.

  • Collaborate with the Communications Director to assist with larger tasks and deadlines, including press releases, website updates, and social media.

  • Serve as the point person for corporate ties and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Maintain a database of donors, businesses, and track gifts and relationships.

  • Manage the organization's annual gala, including event planning, fundraising, and sponsorships.

  • Develop and execute fundraising campaigns, including the annual appeal, online giving days, and grant proposals.

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to assist with corporate ties and serve as the direct point of contact for key stakeholders.

  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must embrace the mission of Bereaved Children and Grief Support

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, or related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in securing major gifts and sponsorships.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.

  • Passion for the organization's mission and values.

  • Proficient in Canva, Constant Contact, Salesforce, and Google Suite.

  • Knowledge of Google Ads and Google My Business, and Google Anayltics is a major plus.​

The Community Outreach & Corporate Relations Director will be a vital member of the organization's team and play a critical role in securing funding and resources to support the grief support programs for children and their families.

Fundraising Specialist

 

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Fundraising Specialist to join our non-profit organization specializing in grief peer support programs for children and their families. As a Fundraising Specialist, you will play a vital role in securing financial resources to sustain and expand our programs. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, and oversee fundraising campaigns. This position requires a strong understanding of non-profit fundraising practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with potential donors and supporters. This role will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers. The position is part-time, and requires office hours and is not remote.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Fundraising Strategy Development:

    • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.

    • Conduct research to identify potential funding sources, including grants, corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and fundraising events.

  2. Donor Cultivation and Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and partners to secure financial support for the organization.

    • Develop personalized cultivation plans to engage donors and supporters, including personalized communications, acknowledgments, and regular updates on program impact.

  3. Grant Writing and Reporting:

    • Identify grant opportunities and develop compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives.

    • Manage the grant application process, including collecting necessary data, coordinating with program staff, and submitting timely and accurate proposals.

    • Provide regular reports to grantors, highlighting program achievements and outcomes.

  4. Fundraising Campaigns and Events:

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns and events, including virtual and in-person activities.

    • Develop creative strategies to maximize donor engagement and participation, utilizing various platforms and channels such as social media, email marketing, and direct mail campaigns.

  5. Donor Database Management:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor information, interactions, and contributions in the organization's donor management system.

    • Generate regular reports on fundraising performance, donor trends, and campaign outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, marketing) or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, and grant writing within the nonprofit sector.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and community partners.

  • Proficient in using fundraising software and donor management systems.

  • Passionate about supporting children and families experiencing grief, with a sensitivity to their unique needs.
